Is Ashton Kutcher The Pussy, Or Are We? Nov 11 11
By now anyone with access to the media knows about the Penn State incident that happened over the past few days. If you don’t, let me fill you in real quick:
Ashton Kutcher, the twitter-whore extraordinaire, published a tweet after hearing about the firing of Joe Paterno without knowing anything about what was really going on. I believe that, and I also believe that anyone who doesn’t needs to take their head out of their ass. He may have 8 million twitter followers, bucks deluxe, and worldwide fame, but he is still a human being, and anyone who questions that needs to reevaluate themselves.
How possible is it that Kutcher didn’t know about Paterno’s child sex abuse scandal? Very. But as soon as he makes the mistake of posting something without knowing the full story, which is something everybody does (even news reporters), the social media world blows up in his face and causes him to crawl into his shell like a turtle. As a result, his Twitter is going to be handed over to his management team so they can act as a filter. I’m sure that’s going to be a blast.
Today, people question why Ashton Kutcher backed down so easily. Is he some kind of pussy? I mean, it was one tweet, you just apologize and move on, right? Well, I don’t know about you, but I’ve certainly never had 8 million people calling me an idiot and a miserable excuse of a person, and I’ve never had mass media coverage about a mistake I made. I don’t expect that I could handle such a thing.
Kutcher is a stand up guy, in my opinion. Once he got the correct information about Jo Pa, he retracted his statements, deleted the tweets, apologized, and even made fun of himself. I think we’re the pussies here. The people who follow @aplusk (his Twitter account) couldn’t handle the fact that he made an off-coloured statement, despite the fact that he has acted in several comedy movies and is known as a “funny guy”.
He’s not an enemy. He made a mistake, just like we all do.
